St Patrick's Day

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Last week I sent off this swap for the Glytter Kyttens - St Patrick's Day swap on Swap-bot. The shamrock brooch is made out of felt, I got the idea from Craftser then added my own flair to it. Unfortunately mine didn't arrive in time for today, but its ok, because I had my snazzy green shoes to wear any way...

Even my kitty - Týr decided to join in on the green action!

I decided to make an Irish themed dessert, and was inspired to try this Irish Cheesecake Slice shown on morning TV. I used dark Kit-Kat chocolate, and seeing as my sister doesn't like mint, I used Baileys Irish Cream Liqueur and coffee instead.
Now, if you desire to make this recipe, dont follow the part for the topping where it says mix the coffee granuals with the water, then add it to the chocolate! This means, as I am sure most of you would realise, stuffed up melted chocolate!! After doing this once...I should really learn to trust my instincts more... I just melted the dark chocolate topping and added a few coffee granuals to it then. It turned out rather rich, very creamy, only ok though, I doubt I would make it again.

oh wow! Well.. at least it looks amazing. ha it is beautiful. I am boring.. and poor right now until payday.. so I was thinking about making some green rice krispie treats :) I REALLY like that shamrock. Sheeeesh I wish I had that to wear for today. It looks like it took quite a bit of time. I <3 Swap-bot! :) Thanks for introducing me to it.

Lots of lovely emerald isle goodness! Your green shoes are divine and your kitty looks as cheeky as my two naughty babies. What is with their love of those green bags? Mine cannot wait for us to unload the shopping so they can dive in.

I LOVE those shoes. They are the very best. My daughter turned 15 on St. Patty's Day, so it was a big celebration in ND. I'm so interested in Australia. I found you from your comment about the huntsman spider. What is a huntsman? Maybe I don't want to know! Come visit sometime. By the way, I love, love the green hair!

Thanks for the GREAT birthday ideas! Wow, are you creative. And, thanks for the update on the spider, even though it gave me the creepies. :0 Are you going to follow too? Oh, is the green hair a permanent feature, or is an every changing palette? I have to know. I am to the age where color is a requirement because of the start of the grays. Yuck! Maybe I should try green. My students would freak. hehehe

Oh do go to Target and see the bunnies... I hope they will have them. Did you watch the clip on my post? You should rent the movie! I'm thinking I'm going to buy it! lol I'm such a dork!
