Things I love right now.

With the cooler weather coming early this year, there are more blankets going on the bed. I love my first ever crochet blanket, which I think I forgot to blog about when I finished it last year. Bit crooked, but I love it nonetheless and I look forward to beginning a new one this winter.

I love my little box of brightly coloured threads. I've been slowly but surely working on belated birthday and baby shower presents. The list is still rather long, but I hope to have some time over the Easter long weekend to knock off a few more projects.

I love our local Roller Derby League. This is a logo of my favourite team, The Salty Dolls. The very team that a friend of ours recently got on to, so made it extra important to go along and support them. I am not a sports loving person at all, but I find the derby games are really exciting and fun to watch.

I love home made sushi. People at work always ask how I manage to make them, and I have to say once you've done it once and know how, it's really easy! No harder than putting a sandwich together, the only thing that takes a while is cooking the rice and having the patience for it to cool. I mainly make tuna or teryaki chicken ones.

Lastly, I love these two stinkers. They have been confused by the recent day lights saving time changes, and have been waking me up at ungodly hours of the morning for breakfast, and are ready for dinner way too early as well. There's a whole lotta meowing going on in the kitchen!

Lucky for my kitty and I we don't have day light savings up here, I get home from work at 6.30 and she is waiting for dinner by 6.35.
I love the tiny soy sauce panda with your sushi, so cute!!

You've made a lovely blankie - just the right thing for summer :) I'd love to make one too but haven't yet had enough patience for such a big project.
btw I wanted to ask you how do you and Becky make this effect on your photos? Don't know how to even describe it but you probably know what I mean ))

Your blanket is beautiful! I remember you showing us the squares when you were working on it. I'm not a sports person either, but the one time I attended a roller derby bout I found it to be very exciting.

I have a very vocal kitty, and he can be SO annoying when I hear him yowling early in the morning. He's worth it though. I hope your babies get used to the change quickly. ;-)

Cuuuute! Hah I can't believe you made that quilt. It looks so good!

I've tried making sushi once and ended up with a mess. A delicious mess.. but a mess none the less. May I should give it another go.

I love roller derby but have never been to a match. Those girls freaking rock. :)

Love this post!

Cats are so cute, I love my too smelly cats too. It is so cute when the clocks change, the cats start meowing an hour early for tea.

Is that your sushi container? So cute! I love the panda soya sauce container. I really really want some cute bentos for lunch for when I go back to work!

And I think your blanket is awesome!! I wish I could crochet!xx

I'm in love with your crochet blankie, it reminds me of the blankets my dear grandma used to crochet for all of us!

And my, I love your home made sushi, I so need to learn to make it too, I loooove sushi! The bf is always joking about how his lil kitty (me) loves her fishies...

I can't believe you made that blanket - very envious of your skills. The teryaki chicken sushi sounds delicious: way better than a sandwich!
